Mike Dommett

Managing Director

Mike is an MEP building services engineer with over 25 years’ experience in the construction industry. He has broad MEP industry experience having worked in manufacturing, contracting and consultancy from an apprentice engineer to Technical Director and Partner positions within large international and UK consultancy practices. In addition to UK projects, Mike has worked in the Middle East on prestigious projects in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Qatar, Bahrain, Iraq and the Sultanate of Oman.

Since 2008 he has combined MEP design work with litigation and dispute resolution on UK and international projects. Mike has given expert advice on matters that are subject to litigation, mediation, adjudication and arbitration, and has participated in mediations and given evidence during arbitration hearings. Mike has extensive experience of contractual disputes and of advising clients on the duties of parties involved in the design, installation, commissioning, inspection and maintenance of MEP building services works.

Mike is a Member of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (MCIBSE), Member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (MASHRAE), Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering (FCIPHE), and member of the Society of Construction Law. He is also recognised in the Lexology index – Transport – Recommended consulting expert.

Stuart Blessing

Electrical Engineering Expert, Consultant, Dubai

Stuart is an electrical engineer with over 25 years’ experience in the power generation and MEP building services industries. He has broad experience having worked in MEP design consultancy, power generation and the oil and gas industry in the UK, Europe, Asia, Africa and Middle East. Stuart has extensive experience of the detailed design, specification, installation and commissioning of electrical and power engineering systems.

Stuart has given expert advice on numerous matters and has given expert evidence during arbitration hearings. His areas of expertise include power generation plant, electrical distribution, electrical switchgear, electrical transformers, fire and gas detection and suppression systems, Building Management Systems (BMS), lighting, high voltage operational safety and authorisation, electrical systems for oil and gas facilities, railways and buildings, earthing and lightning protection, inspection and testing, root cause and failure analysis and power system analysis.

Stuart is a Chartered electrical engineer and Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (MIET).   

Peter White

Public Health Engineering Expert, Consultant

Peter is a public health engineer with over 40 years’ experience in the construction industry. He has broad MEP industry experience having started as an apprentice engineer and eventually becoming principle of the public health group for a large UK consultancy where he was responsible for the delivery of a wide variety of public health and building services infrastructure projects.

Peter has extensive experience of large complex projects including high-rise towers. In recent years he has specialised in high-rise drainage design and water conservation and reuse. He was the contributing author to the current CIPHE Plumbing Engineering Services Design Guide. Peter is the past Chair of the CIBSE Society of Public Health Engineers (SoPHE) and continues to support the Society in education and technical groups.

Peter has been appointed as expert advisor and expert witness on numerous occasions and has been instructed as assistant to the lead expert.

Peter is a Chartered engineer MCIBSE and a Fellow of SoPHE (FSoPHE).

Tom Ouvry

TECHNICAL CONSULTANT

Tom is a Mechanical Engineer with more than 30 years diverse engineering and commercial experience gained while engaged with businesses operating in a broad range of industry sectors and international markets. Tom has gained a breadth of experience in contentious construction dispute cases since 2008. This has included advising clients and appointed experts on aspects of design, installation testing & commissioning and maintenance of mechanical and public health engineering services.

Tom has supported the named expert on matters that are subject to mediation, adjudication, arbitration and litigation for construction projects in rail and air transport infrastructure; education facilities; commercial office space; light industrial units; hotels; high density and luxury housing; and also medical facilities, including specialist patient care, both UK and internationally. His areas of expertise include data analysis, computation and numerical modelling in connection with the technical aspects of disputes, review and assessment of contract documents, specifications, regulations and industry guidance together with the preparation of CPR35 compliant expert reports.

Tom is an Associate Member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.
